Soo domestic.

I'm pretty proud of myself.

Somehow in the mist of my mad-crazy-busy life
I have managed to find time to make a few of those
yummy recipes from "Skinny Taste" and...

THEY TURNED OUT GREAT!

Seriously, it makes me feel soo domestic- its not even funny.
I want to be one of those moms who can whip up anything
right from scratch without blinking an eye
and have it be like the best thing you've ever had in your life.

Martha Stewart (minus the going to jail part) is seriously someone I admire.

So here's a few things I've attempted from my newly favorite recipe site...
1.
Nojito.

Yes... just like a Mojito but without the alcohol. Soo yummy!!
This is totally a summer time drink but
I still made it the other night just because it looked like fun...
I mean, I even "muddled the mint leaves"! It doesn't get more legit than that, right??
I was proud. So if you'd like the "how-to"... here ya go ---> YUMMY NOJITO
2.
Black Bean, Avocado, Cucumber & Tomato Salad.

This is sooooo flippin' good its not even funny.
I was always one of "those kids" who would say "mom, what's that green thing?"
or "mom, I hate tomatos!" (when I'd never even tried them)
I swear my mom wanted to kill me a few times...
Thankfully I got out of that phase or else I'd totally be missing out.
I've made this every week religiously a few times now and
I usually split it up in small tupperware & take it as a snack at work.
Love. Here's THE RECIPE.
3.
Red Pepper Egg-in-a-Hole.

Now if you know me, you KNOW breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.
Funny thing is... my husband doesn't even like breakfast (!!!!?!?)
I don't even know how that's possible but anyways...
THIS.RECIPE.IS.DELISH.

There's TONS more recipes on that site that I can't even wait to try.
Thankfully most seem pretty beginner chef status.
I definitely go for easy peasy- so why not get super healthy while I'm at it?
Double Bonus baby!

If anyone else has a yummy recipe- feel free to share

6 Toes!!

Life Updates:

1- Kitties.
They are doing auh-mazing.
It was hard at first... When Rexy would see Stella she'd charge at her- friggin tackle her to the ground- then bite her ears!!
I was a little horrified thinking we had a devil kitty.

Then... we invested in a squirt bottle! Talk about life savor for little Stella and anxiety reliever for me.
It seriously made me feel bad when Rexy would full on pumble the new baby.
Here's a picture of the first time we used it on them... mainly Rexy.

(you know she's thinking about jumping on her again...
with those ears back and all)

She was soaked. Buuuut she's a very quick learner, so now she plays nice.

Here are those 6 TOES I was talking about before...

Sooooooooo friggin cute.

Here's Miss Stella.

Don't her feet look HUGE??
She looks like she's wearing little half gloves on her front paws
annnd her tail is soo long.
She's like a little acrobat. She jumps & climbs on everything and then taunts Rexy.
It's funny to compare them because Rexy is SOO uncoordinated compared to her... Rexy has a hard time jumping on the toilet seat. It usually takes her a few tries.

Annnd here's the little cuddlebaby Rexy herself.

Last night I caught them sleeping together.

2. UFL Cheerleading.
This past weekend we had a Jr. Locos Cheer Clinic.
The little girls were soo cute.
They'll all be performing at the UFL Game this Saturday at halftime.

We're TWO games down and TWO more to go... Thennnn I get my life back!

Here's a quarter break performance of my sideline group to "Baby I like it".

Here's me and the hubby after game #2...

It's our traditions to hit up In-n-Out after every game now.
I heart this kid.

Meet Stella... short for Stiletto.

So we have a new member of the family.

WE GOT A NEW KITTY!

Now before you go and call me "the cat lady", this will be our last kitty.
Rexy needed a sister.

This is the little sweetbabyface the first night.

We adopted her from PetCo. As you can see she has white paws & white whiskers.
The best part?
She has 6 toes on both feet!!
I don't think it gets much cuter.
Since she's has the cutest toes thateverhappened...
we were throwing around names like:
Twinkle toes... Boots... and then Stiletto!
It seemed a little lengthy for a kitty name... so we shortened it and went with STELLA.
It totally fits her too. She's super danty & sweet.

Rexy had a bit of a rough time deciding if she liked the new creature playing with her toys & invading her space but needless to say, I think she's accepted her.

This is what happened today when I fed them lunch:
Stella totally went over to Rexy's bowl annnnnd...
THEY SHARED FOOD!

Then... it got better. They went over to Stella's bowl and finished.
Together.

Cutest thing that ever happened, right?!
(PS... I know Rexy is a chunkster now and yes, that is ice in their mini water bowls)
