What's new??

Wow. So first off... its been a YEAR (practically) since I've even had time to think about a blog, let alone update one. Enough about my excuse of a busy life... I'll just fill you in on a few little tid bits in the lives of the Cropper Family:

#1- I'm proud to say that I just finished my 3rd Half Marathon (ahh!) and I loved it. If you would have told me 5 years ago I would finish a marathon and actually enjoy it, I would have told you that you're crazy. It was THE most incredible experience. I trained with my best friends, ran in San Diego (which is the best running place ever), and I beat my last time by 10 minutes! The best part?? I finished in under 2 hours... and nevermind that it was within 15 seconds of the 2 hour mark!! I can officialy say it was "under 2 hours".
Here's a picture after the race with the lovies I ran with:
Here's the video my super proud hubby took of my FINISH!

Check out our new running blog. We're kind of a big deal.

#2- WE GOT A KITTEN! He's the cutest bundle of joy who I'm obsessed with. His name is Rex and he can rip off your finger in no time be a cuddle baby. We got him when he was 3 weeks old, 1 pound, and didn't know how to use a litter box. He is now 6 weeks old, has quadupled his weight, and is a friggin litter box PRO. I have to gloat (like all proud mommies do) and say that it only took him 1 day to become pro-litter-box-status.
See........
But we've still got a ways to go because the little baby is REFUSING to eat anything but milk... no wet food... no dry food... no nothing. What kind of cat does that? Isn't wet food practically gold to them? Anyways, here's a few things mr. picky-head does like to eat...
His toes.

Fingers.
My hair.
But needless to say he's the cutest little guy ever. Can you blame me for being obsessed? I think not.

And if you're wondering about Grant? Well he's been a complete stranger somewhat MIA lately because he's taking the Series 7 Securities Test for work and has literally been studying in his "man cave" (as he likes to call it) 24/7 for about 2 months now... only 2 weeks left to until he takes this crazy stinkin' exam and hopefully I'll have my hubby back. But in the meantime, when he's not studying his brains out he's being the buff manly husband and killing these little creatures (yes, plural because we found 2)...
Ummm yeah, that would be a black widow. Way to go buff hubby man.

your kitty is so stinking cute. his bulging eyes crack me up! I'm hoping to run the LA race in under 2 hours.... lets see if i can do it! That's such an accomplishment though-even if only by 15 seconds! I'll be happy either way! The San Diego race was so fun though huh! It makes it even more motivating feeling like we've got a little team together to run.

I can just imagine grant killing those spiders. I bet it was a huge ordeal. He's so funny.

ps, I hope you find more time to write. i like your bloggy blog! <3
